Here’s your chance to take a well-deserved break from family and career responsibilities. Join a special women’s only wilderness adventure and escape from artificial routines. Feel the exhilaration of physical challenges and immerse yourself in the rhythms of the Canadian wilderness. Leave gender roles behind and venture into new terrain, like steering your own canoe.
On these trips you’ll paddle the historic and scenic Churchill River in northern Saskatchewan’s Lac La Ronge Provincial Park, following the path of Indigenous travellers and voyageurs of centuries past. Highlights on the route include scenic water falls, ancient Aboriginal rock paintings, small winding waterways and large island-filled lakes. Paddling, portaging, navigating by map and compass, and camping in the wild will all be part of the natural routine. With the help of our friendly, competent and supportive women leaders, you’ll acquire new skills, explore new frontiers in personal growth and be entertained en route! Choose either a 4 or 5-day program, each with its own special theme.
